I’m a 40-something multi-hyphenate, who’s designed, art directed, blogged, Kickstarter-ed, coached, podcasted, and built/pivoted three businesses over the past 20+ years.
The irony is not lost on me that my businesses have primarily focused on helping others pursue their dreams, while I’ve harboured [and unconsciously resisted] my own childhood dream for the past 20+ years – of writing and illustrating children’s books 🙃
But now I’m in the chapter of my life where I no longer want to resist and squish that dream down. Instead, I’m pouring my creative jús back into my own pencils, paints and POSCA pens, and using this platform to document and share that very homecoming. Wins, warts and all.

Despite having been a coach for the past 5+ years and mentoring 100s of clients, it’s important to highlight that this Substack isn’t some diluted coaching/mentoring program where I’m here to tell you what to do to get results each week.
I have another space for that.
This is a far more personal space for me as an artist to pull the curtain back and document the reality of my own creative homecoming (while also sharing how I’m navigating a full-time creative career, a coaching practice, parenting a ‘spirited’ 8-year-old, and wearing all the other hats grown-ups have to wear alongside it).
All with the goal that my sharing of that brings a uniquely valuable insight into an otherwise, highly private and personal experience, that gives you the courage to pursue your own creative homecoming.
Like I said, this is a space for me to vulnerably and honestly document and share the wins, warts and all. Figured it’d be a pretty cool thing for my daughter to read one day too 😊❤️
